I'm not sure honestly. Was the old style horn more of a beep vs a honk?

I agree the Horn sounds to much like a american sedan, Not the japanese Beep I am used to in all my previous Toyota trucks. I was definetly suprised the first time I used it. Really was disapointed.

I wish somebody could just get the horn I have to beep when I lock/unlock my doors. The light flash doesn't cut it in bright sunlight when you are looking at your vehicle from the side. The toot would let me know quickly whether or not I forgot to lock the doors after I have walked 50 ft from my vehicle. Right now I have to walk back to the truck and double check. I hate to buy an alarm to get a feature that just about every other 25-30K vehicle provides.
