Arrow Switchblade Key with remote and alarm system (including engine immobilization)

Hi guys,

We're pleased to offer you guys a very high quality AUDI-style Switchlblade Key with remote (door lock / unlock) and alarm system.

NORMAL APPLICATION:

This kit is designed to work as one unit. Meaning, it's originally developed, designed, and tested to work with the alarm system that comes as a package.

Therefore, we can provide 100% guarantee that it will work on ALL cars (without immobilizer transponder) that install the whole kit together. The keys will work, as well as the remotes. Just think of this as any other aftermarket alarm system with all the bells and whistles, but with the added bonus of having the switchblade key with remote.
Regular price is $79.95 USD plus $19.95 USD shipping.

KEY ONLY APPLICATION:

Many of you have asked to purchase the key only to work with either your STOCK REMOTE ALARM SYSTEM, or other brand AFTERMARKET REMOTE / ALARM SYSTEM (such as Viper, Comstar, etc).

There are over 10,000 car variations (year, make, model, etc). It's impossible for us to know which cars will work and which cars it wont work.

There is however, a theory = that this key will be able to communicate with a car that uses the same frequency (usually 315 Mhz or 433 Mhz). This theory is untested, and unproven. Therefore, we can not provide any kind of guarantee that it will work with your existing remote / alarm system.

For those who want to "TRY" using the key with your stock or aftermarket alarm kit, I can provide the key only for a special discounted price of $19.95 plus shipping $9.95.
Regular price for the key only will be $39.95 USD plus $9.95 USD shipping.

Because you have to "cut" the key in order to try, we can't provide a refund on the "trial key".

Please understand that, this key was designed to work with the alarm system that comes with it as a package. This is like taking an AUDI A4 stock rim and trying to see if it will fit on a BMW M3. Both may be 5 x 112, but the width might cause the rim not to work with the BMW M3.

IF YOU HAVE IMMOBILIZER / TRANSPONDER IN THE KEY:

Most new cars (since 1994 and after) have some sort of immobilizer transponder chip built into the car and the key. Most often you will have a display in your guage with a "Green key logo" that blinks when you first turn on your car. This verifies that the key you are using is sending the correct "codes" to the engine immobilizer and allows the car to turn on.

The problem is, it's even more difficult to be able to program our key to work with the hundreds of transponder manufacturers in the market.

Therefore, there are a few options to "retrofit" it.

1. Crack open your OEM key or spare key. -> Take out the chip (usually looks like coils) -> unscrew and open the Autodoodad switchblade key -> transfer the transponder chip into the switchblade key - make sure the chip is touching the key portion (in order to send communication) -> Put it back together.
This method has worked for some BMW's already.

2. Cut the key portion of your original key and have it taped on the inside portion of the steering column. This only works for those transponders that communicate wirelessly. Some keys communicate through the key (hence the chip has to touch the key portion).

3. Use aftermarket immobilizer by-pass unit (costs $35), and permanently disable the immoblizer. So all you need to do is cut the key.

If you're worried about the loss of immobilizer security, there is another option.
This alarm system also has an immobilizer function. Therefore, you can disable your OEM immobilizer function, and install / use the immobilizer function from this alarm system.
So in a sense, you are switching your OEM immobilizer system with ours.

DIFFERENT KEY SIZES:

Some of you have also commented that the key sizes may be different. This is very true. However, our system comes with a "universal type" key size. But, in the case that the key size becomes an issue, the key portion can be replaced. A proper auto key cutter will be able to replace the key with the one you need.

Most shops charge less than $5 for cutting the key.

Warranty:

The "kit" comes with a full 1 year replacement warranty. If anything happens, or doesnt work, just simply return it and I can send you a new kit any time. However, malfunctions due to improper installations (such as if the installer cut wires), it will void the warranty.

LOGO:

The reverse side of this key is blank, so you can put any kind of emblem / sticker / logo on it.

hey TRD,

If the frequency is same, I'm quite sure it's possible.
However, I'll verify this with the factory and get bck to you.

So you basically want to use your stock alarm system, but just replace the remote with this right?

Hi guys,

do you guys know what frequency your stock remote is at?
As long as the frequency is same, your original alarm system (or door remote) should have a learning code system.

This key can work with your existing system if those conditions meet.

Yes, you can get the key without the alarm - many people has been asking for that.

But I need to know what frequency your car's original remote system is set at.
Usually 315 or 433 ...

The kit comes with a full alarm system and the remote key.
88 camry doesn't have immobilizer, so it's much more easier to install and use this system.
You can also get a Toyota emblem / sticker from ebay or dealership - but I'm also seeing if I can get a few for TN members at a local shop.

Hi Thomas,

I'm assuming you have stock remote key lock / unlock?
Not sure if '92 camry came with that.
But if you do, you can just use the key to program it to work with your original remote function.

Key only is $49.95 retail price, but $39.95 if you participate in the group buy.

Can you make sure your original remote system is 433 Mhz frequency?

Well, im not an expert when it comes to 1992 camrys.. but from your descriptiong of the Audivox remote, yes, the remote can work. - Given that your original settings are still working.

The best option would be to go with the whole kit and you'll know for sure you have remote / alarm and even immobilizer. But its upto you.
