Wow. I love the flakey look (guess they save that for the "mica" part since every paint is called metallic anyway). Great depth to the colour!

They call everything grey.

Our Titanium Silver Camry was labelled grey.

Our Tideland Pearl Prius was almost labelled grey. She asked what colour my car was, I said it's grey-green. Pick one lol.

Yet for my Blue Ribbon Metallic Prius, they asked "is it light blue, dark blue or blue?" You mean, I get to choose?!? I said dark blue . It's more of a deep blue but there's only one blue for a Prius anyway unlike the last gen which has both a light blue (Seaside Pearl) and dark-ish blue (Spectra Blue Mica)

so if you have either cosmic grey or magnetic gray, it will be just "gray" on paper? is it that hard for them to just add the word "light"?

My Cressida was labelled beige, brown, cream at various places whenever I took it in took it in to get service. Rarely did they get it right and say beige.

Same story on our 02 Camry in Desert Sand Mica. The service papers jumps between tan, gold, beige, brown, even grey once. (no cream yet)

I got the Camry put onto our insurances today. When they ask what color was the car, I told them Cosmic Gray which was entered in as Gray. What are they suppose to type if I told them, "It's kinda black but turns blue and sometimes green in the day."

It does look gray at 9 AM.

lol.. reminds me of the stories about insuring a smart fortwo. In the database, there are only two colours - silver and black. They use the tridion cell colour because the body panels are interchangeable and if you tell them you have a red car then swap out for a blue one, try explaining that to the cop that just pulled you over

Was it shaking like mad as if were ready to blow apart?

Having 3 wheel studs per wheel is enough to make me run rather quickly from them.

just came back from the toyota show room where they had an xle i4 in cosmic grey. i took a while looking at this paint and to me it's 4 different shades (under tube lights):
angle 1: flat black
angle 2: dark grey, almost like magnetic
angle 3: a rich deep blue
angle 4: greenish, but barely

It's a very strange paint job. can't wait to see what it looks like in the sunlight where perhaps the green will be more noticeable

Maybe that's why they call it "Cosmic" gray? Because the sky at night (if you could see close enough), has all sorts of grays, greens, and blues.
