Rear Cross Traffic Alert

I was pleasantly surprise to discover that the Limited came with the Rear Cross Traffic Alert function. I had mistakenly assumed since I did not opt for the Tech Package that function would not be included; but to my surprise it is included. Great for "seeing" traffic coming up and down the street I live on and also for detecting traffic in supermarket lots. Wasn't sure it was included as on page 225 of main manual says to: "Keep the sensor and its surrounding area on the bumbler clean at all times". Looked under the rear fender and found sensor-- see included image.

Is this feature only included in Limited version?

I also have an Avalon Limited with a working Rear Cross Traffic Alert system and I looked under the rear bumpers and fenders but can't see anything like what your photo shows. Where exactly did you point your camera, and from what vantage point?

OK, thanks, that helped. Now I see it (I find it's not that easy springing back up from lying flat on your back on the garage floor when you're a geezer. )

Rear Cross Traffic Alert

It's not the getting up that's a problem for me it's the recouping from hyper-ventilating in getting up that gets to me.. A product of oversize gut and lungs that need help supplying oxygen thanks to 45 years of Camel straits and 21 years of jet engine exhaust, but I LOVE my new Avalon!!!! :-)
