The only information on this tire size was associated with vehicles that already had a lift kits - I want to get better shocks/springs but dont want to lift it. I called Tire Rack as well as my location Toy' dealer but everyone says "good question!"

Can anyone assist?
You can run 285's with no rub/drawbacks other than a small drop in MPG's... 295's (slightly taller and wider) rub very slightly at full lock(they rub lifted or not, mine rub and I have a 2.5" lift). Bilstein shocks are a great replacement, unfortunately the only aftermarket spring (old man emu) will give you a small live.

Here is a breakdown of what springs you can run and how much lift they will give you (which you don't want lift).

OME865 | 2" | 0-200 lbs
OME866 | 2" | 200-300 lbs (I run the 866's/Coil spacers and love them)
OME863 | 3" | 300-500 lbs
SOF2RH | 2" | 300-500
