After a year of
PR crises, natural disasters, and production slowdowns, Toyota is now ready to bounce back with its all new Camry. The Camry has been the market leader in its class for some time, but has recently seen the Hyundai Sonata creep up to steal some of its market share,
according to Bloomberg.
In redesigning the Camry for 2012, Toyota shows that it wants to continue earning your business. Toyota has aggressively updated the Camry’s interior in terms of both safety and comfort. The car has also been made more fuel efficient, an attribute that is becoming a specialty of the Prius manufacturer. At the same time, Toyota continues its aggressively affordable pricing schedule. The 2012 Camry appears to offer more for less, versus previous Camry models, and arguably, the competition too.
Comfier
Toyota understands that a family car should be roomy enough to be comfortable for the daily carpools to work as well as the weekend road trips. The 2012 Toyota Camry has overall more elbow room and rear-seat headroom than the 2011 model, as well as a significantly bigger back seat. Toyota also claimed the interior is quieter, and this year’s new suspension provides a smoother ride.
Safer
The 2012 Toyota Camry is chock full of safety features, which include passenger knee and rear seat side airbags,
according to Inside Line. Inside Line believe that, as a result of these added safety features, existing airbags, and the use of ultra-high-strength steel, that the car is likely to earn a five-star safety rating.
Greener
If you’re online researching midsize sedans, the Honda Accord and Nissan Altima have probably also popped up on your search engine. The Nissan
has been selling well, while Honda Accord sales are remaining constant. Honda’s car has been stagnant this market year, and may be in need of a revamp.
