Will 2006 Scion CD/SAT/MP3 head unit fit in Gen 4 Camry?

I was looking for a factory replacement for my 99 Camry factory stereo. I have been looking at scion head units on ebay lately. There is a few reasons why I'm looking for the replacement scion instaed of a replacement toyota radio or aftermarket.
The scion radio comes satalite ready. I will just need to but the Sirius reciever. Around 99.00
They also play mp3's
But the biggest feature on the 06 scion radio's is an ipod adapter in the rear. I don't have an Ipod but a basic 40gb RCA lyra mp3 player. The scion radio has an Aux button and hook ups in the rear so you can run an adapter to your MP3 player. This is a much better solution for me than the FM transmitter or tape adapter.
When looking for aftermarket I found that I needed to find the units with an Aux on the faceplate or I could not hook up the satalitte and mp3 player together. It was one or the other. I really don't like the look of the kits for aftermarket radios either.
I know I could just have a sirius sportster and and my MP3 player all external but I would like to keep some wires out of the way. I have a cell phone, mp3, radar and satalite and that is too many wires. Thus the need to get some wires out of the way.
If anyone knows if I could transplant a Scion radio to my Gen 4 99 Camry please let me know. I would like to get some opinions on this before I place a bid.
Thanks, Matt

You would need to look at the wiring for the vehicle. a Scion radio from 05 wont work properly in a 06 so I doubt that the radio would work in your car.

Also the iPod adapter is made to work with the iPod interface. There is a specific plug that works with the radio to control the iPod from the radio unit instead of from the iPod itself. unless your RCA works off of the Apple software in an iPod and has the same inteface as an iPod then it wont work. Not all Scion radios from 06 are iPod compatable.

I'd say go for it but you'll be doing a lot of custom wiring and it still might not work right.
