mp3 player

I just bought a Scion cd/mp3 player for my 2001 toyota camry. It can work greatly except playing mp3. I created a disc on which I put about 100 music. But the player can only read out 3 of them. Could someone tell me what happen? Thank you in advance.

They might be the wrong format ... normally mp3, mp4, wma, etc. all play the same (i.e. in iTunes and the like or iPod, etc...) but the Scion HU cannot read mp4 or whatever other format you have mixed in with your mp3's. Try setting your computer player to convert them all to the same format (whatever format the three that play are) and re-burn the disc.

They would have to be burned as data files or you would only get about 20 songs on a disc.
I'm thinking your formats are incorrect also.

Not neccessarily. I use Nero to burn my mp3 CDs and they have an option to make "MP3 CD" format and they do NOT play in my car.

However, when I burn them as "Data CD" it works fine. Not all players are like so you just have to find that one format that works. CDRs are about $0.05 each to just keep trying until you find the one that works.

I've never seen that option. I use Roxio and I just burn Data CD's to get "MP3" format discs. I guess it just depends what program you have.
