Scion Deck

I have a Scion MP3 Deck, not the 6CD one either

I'm not sure of the model # but it is in my 91 4Runner SR5

Anyways, I find when the SUV is idling (800-900rpm) the radio will sag as if its got power loss, this leads me to believe that the Scions came equipped with an amplifier

So my questions are as follows

1) Do Scions come pre-equipped with an amp, if so which ones and what are the ratings

2) What are my options? (besides replacing the deck)

Thanks guys

For Scions, the Amp is built into the radio and done that way so that a Radio signal from an aftermarkey deck wont interfere with the speaker system. Your 4runner on the other hand might have what they call a stereo component amplifier and that could be conflicting with your scion radio, that or your wireing just isn't up to snuff for the newer radio since the vehicle is old enough to have it's own drivers/learners permit.
