Why don't you just buy a aftermarket unit like a Alpine? Those sounds much better, and have plenty more options.

People steal aftermarket radios a lot where I'm from.
this scion radio would give a clean factory look

i just found a 2008 Xb radio for $90 shipped. so it's way cheaper too

you can get a nice Kenwood or Clarion with a detachable face plate that lets you connect an iPod and USB drive for around $175 at crutchfield.com

Best Scion headunit

The best headunit is the T1806 or the T1808.
The T1806 can usually be found on ebay for under $100.
It offers full iPod interface.

Yeah that's a good head unit. My tC came with that. What I don't like is the right knob. It feels like it might break off when I'm furiously flipping thru 20 gigs of music (yes my playlists is well organized).

Too bad you won't have steering wheel controls.

for the tCs.. the 06+ are better, because the first models, the volume button is so annoying to press instead of dials plus no ipod connection.
