I have an Xb I have 11,200 miles on it lol, been to florida and back twice (I live in ohio) and yes gas milage does get better, however, and a BIG however at that, Ive changed the oil at 2500 miles with synthetic, theres synthetic oil in the manual gearbox, and in city driving i usually do not even eclipse 2000 rpm, unless i hit 40 in 5th gear lol. I drive 20 miles to work everyday, all highway, and I do 65 mph. I get about 34-36 mpg. Interestlingly enough I get the same or more in the city. I've noticed something strange though, After about 10k miles of driving my low end torque seemed to spike. granted I have a drop in performance filter, and use all synthetics this has been a pleasant surprise. I keep my rpms very low and observed the acceleration improve drastically. If anyone has experienced this please let me know. By the way on my trip to florida I tried something, I put 40 psi in my tires (scion calls for like 30, tires MAX is 44) and the milage was GREAT... I averaged in the ballpark of 40 mpg @ 70-75 mph on the 1,000 mile trip, so keep in mind this cold time of year to keep the tire pressure up.
