Kenshiro Gushi is not only one of the country’s top pro drifters, he is also one of the youngest. Born in Okinawa, Japan but raised in Los Angeles, California, Ken Gushi was taught how to drift by his father, Tsukasa Gushi, on a Toyota AE86 when he was just 13. He has since become the youngest competitor in Japan’s D1 Grand Prix and the U.S. Formula Drift Championships. Fiercely determined, Gushi competed in his first U.S. Formula D event at the age of 16, before he even passed his driving test!
Now a driving sensation with Team RS*R, “The Gush” unleashes his red Scion tC drift car on the opposition. Together with Tanner Foust of Team Rockstar, Gushi raises the Scion racing team banner over the paved battlegrounds in every round of the Formula Drift Championships, and is always in podium contention even with stiff competition.
