Scions look cool and all, but with all show and no go, what do they expect to happen

They expect them to sell. Scions are not supposed to be fast, except for the tC. You should also stop somparing Hondas Performance engines to Toyotas economy engines. Honda also has 1.6 liter engines that make similar hp to the Scions in their base model Civics. Only the Si has 160hp and that car is only slightly faster than an xA and slower than a tC. If you want to compare 4 cyl performance engines, then look at Toyota engines like the 3sge and 4age. By the way, displacement has very little to do with how much power a car makes.

The Honda 1.6's are not rated low at all. People dyno them all the time and they make the power they are supposed to. They stopped making those engines because they came out with a better version of v-tec.
