I am no tech... thats why I am posting.

What is curb weight? I have auto tC and on the scion site it say it weigh 2970.

I looked at the door area and there it says: GVWR 3945

What is the difference between the 2 weights?

GVWR is the maximum your car and weigh and still be safe....so that includes the weight of the car, passengers and cargo.

The Curb Weight is the weight of just the car, 2970 lbs with an empty tank and no passenger.

yep. They used to have a maximum load capacity too. maybe they still do.....

Thanks guys/gals for your replies... Good! Now that I got that cleared up I'm relieved.

Reason why I asked was a friend pointed at the sticker and said thats the weight of your car... but he's 1/2 right, have to give him credit for that. *lol*

But since I read it was only 2970 on the Scion site... so I felt the needed to challenge him.
