Question Factory "Vehicle Shield Protection" option... is it worth it?

I just ordered a 2005 Scion tC. And i just now found Toyota Nation. I've read several posts that complain about noise in the tC. I was wondering if the Sound Deadening option ($349) is worth it. Does anyone have this option?

I didn't order mine with it, but I know I can add it before it gets here (3 month wait... ick)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

www.scion.com - go to "build my scion" select the tC ... the option is under the "Exterior" options tab

Never heard of a sound deadening option. The car already has a good amount of sound dampening. Vehicle Shield Protection sounds like paint an fabric protection which is a bunch of BS. Just use Zaino and scotchgaurd if you want to for the inside. If they actually are doing a professional job of matting(sound Dampening) the car then that's not a bad price for it installed. But I've never heard of it.

The option is listed on the online build site.

Are you looking at your local dealers website or on www.scion.com?

Got a link?

I put the info at the top....

its on the scion.com website. The option isn't listed on the site, however it IS listed as an available option on the Build site... try and build a tC and you'll find the option under the Exterior tab.

Also, anyone know anything about the Wing-Type Spoiler that's said to be available late this year?

Still not finding it. Maybe it's only in your area. Whats your zip code?

Hey. Glad to see you are getting a tC and decided to join this place. The VSP option is worthless. Ask your buddy who works at the dealership. He gives you good answers

there might be a TSB(technical service bulletin) for that. we had a problem with the Xb's having a "rattling" from the dash and we fixed them under warranty. i would suggest going to your local dealership and talking to a rep or tech to see if it's something they'd address under warranty.
