Blitz Supercharger

This is my first post but I wanted to jump right into things. At 25 I'd say I've had a good amount of experience with modding cars. I certainly don't know it all but I've done a lot of work on the cars I've had from my 97 318ti, 91 eclipse GSX, 00 Integra type R, 91 240 sx w/SR20 swap, and now my WRX. I'm looking to get an xB because I don't race anymore and mostly just commmute to work. I know the old speed lover in me may get bored with the 108 hp so I emailed Blitz about their supercharger just as a plan B. The response after 4 emails was that it produces a 50hp gain. I call that a complete lie. They claim that is at 5lbs of boost. I would love to see a dyno proving this, if anyone has one please post a link and I will eat my words. I never believe anything until I see a dyno chart or a time slip proving it. I was impressed to see a dyno chart with a gain of 5-6hp with just an AEM intake. That's very decent for a 1.5 liter. Any thoughts?

^I would probably go with the GReddy kit or something other than that Blitz unit. It doesn't make the hp that they claim. Ithink it's around 30 hp or something weak like that.

Thanks for the advice, I probably won't go with either but I'm just says it drives me crazy that performance parts sellers can tell such blatant lies and stay in business. I don't know how many parts I've bought only to get the car dynoed and be severly disappointed. I just worry about the poor 16 year olds (no offense) who are getting into the scene (with any type car) and don't know any better and go out and waste their money because they base their purchase off an official reply from the company that is entirely false.

As a side note since I'm new here, I'm not always up on the soapbox!

the Greddy kit keeps gettin delayed.

the current blower options are the Power enterprises kit and the Blitz kit. i personally like the blitz kit because it looks reliable, and its been out for a while on the Japanese Vitz and bB. there is a couple of people i know that are runnin the PE blower and they like it. of course since your experenced in tuining, you know the routine, fuel pump, injectors, etc

their is a fuel rail avalable but i heard mixed reviews on it. Perrin makes the fuel rail

the blitz kit from what ive seen at 5/6 psi should make appx 30hp/30ft/lb however i have seen the kit with an intercooler and while it may be a stretch of the imagination, maybe the gains they were quoting you is for the intercooled vesion
