ATTN Toyota tech.. Brake squeal

haven't driven hard on the tC but just recently light pressure to the brakes has caused them to squeal.. brakes were already warm.. but when they get wet now they will squeal, never did this before.. then once i apply the brakes it will squeal and then not come back again.. until it gets wet again. so to the toyota techs.. any idea of how to fix it?

does it have anything to do with the anti noise goop on the back of the pad? let me know thanks

oh yeah i won't be messing with anything.. just was satisfying my curiousity to what it might be.. since it hasn't been wet outside the noise is gone.. no matter if i am light or heavy on the brakes.. i'll have to get them wet and see if it comes back. with all the salt and junk on the roads in the winter i'm not surprised they make noise. the noise is a high pitched squeal, that as i brake it will slowly go away, then doesn't come back..

When the Anti squeal shims dont have anymore anti-squeal compound on them they might make noise .Also the springs on some of the toyota brakes are kinda weak and dont hold the pads in well and they vibrate enough to sound like a bus squealing .I am sure this is a problem very quickly solved but still might come back after.

Trapped salt and dirt are known to cause some minor squealing.
