Spoilers and bike racks

I'm a new 06 tC owner. I have had it three weeks - tint, ipod upgrade, spoiler, pedals, shift knob.. ..absolutely love it.
Problem is, I forgot about the bike situation.

I'm guessing my road bike will fit with the seat down and both wheels taken off.. but thats a pain, not to mention it could get the inside all filthy and/or wet depending on where I ride.

I''ve contacted Allenracks after their website said their trunk mounted rack would fit on a tC.. however, after I sent them a picture of the pedastal spoiler, they said none of theirs would work.

I'm dead set against a roof rack.
Can anyone here suggest a a trunk rack manufacturer that makes racks to fit over spoilers? HAs anyone here found a specific rack that fits well on their tC?

And lastly, while I hate to go this expensive route.. but can a tC sport a hitch? .. for the sole purpose of having a hitch mounted bike rack?

Any feedback would be helpful... Thanks.
