Scion Oil Filters

Is the oil filter for the Scion the same as most other Toyota filters??

My 1997 T100 with a 3.4L uses a AC Delco PF53 or Fram 3614 filter (I don't use Fram filters, though) or Bosch 3330 (very good filter)..

Just wondered if the Scion is the same filter???

This is the same filter my BMW motorcycle uses, also, and it would be nice if I can use the same filter for the car, truck, and bike...

I just ordered my 2006 xB today...

The damn thing is a different filter and part number (that stands to reason ) than the standard filter used on most other Toyotas..

Poop..

I was hoping to only need to buy one filter for the three vehicles.. On the other hand, I was hoping to win the lottery, too..

the t100 uses a v6 filter. the xa and xb uses a small 4 cylinder filter. the tc uses the same long 4 cylinder filter as the camry. the v8 filter is same diameter as the v6 filter, but an inch and a half longer.

but doesn't the long 4-cyl filter work on teh small 4-cyl's? thats what i read elsewhere on this site. It'd be interesting to see if it works.

it does. on the 5s and 3s motors the exhaust manifold makes is a little bit closer than with the smaller filter. with the 1.5's like in echo/prius/scions i perfer to use the longer oil filters because i always seem to cut my hand on the machined edge of the block when i install the smaller filter.

jsut make sure to compensate with more oil
