It's an available option through Scion. See your local dealer or go to scion.com

Just thought I'd update...

Well I decided to go XM cuz I found an aftermarket kit that will work with the factory stereo for $100.

Found here:

You can always go aftermarket but the fit will never be OEM.

LOL... the fit was never OEM, with a Scion headunit in my 91 MR2. Anyhow, the XM interface actually works very well, I don't konw what the OEM controls are like for satellite radio, but I'm very happy with the outcome. And thanks to google, I'm only paying $77 for my first year of service!

The bad thing about having it on the headunit is the info doesn't scroll so you will only see some of the info. I bought a Sirius Sportster 4 and have it hardwired to my car's power and plugged into the stock headunit via a PIE TOY03-AUX input adapter. Sounds crystal clear and I don't have wires everywhere in the cabbin.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a 'bad thing'... I for one like the clean look of my car's (MR2) interior which is why I wanted an intergrated tuner system- over an external tuner that needs to be mounted somehwere. As for the text display, I can view the track, artist, channel name or just the channel number, albeit I have to press the text button to change one-line display text... But I don't really care to be reading the thing while I'm driving. Obviously I get the same clarity as you do .
