Its 2010, and still looking for the filter
I finally had a chance to change the oil and oil filter today.
1 hour to find the oil filter on the car, and 20min to drain, and change oil.
It was so so much easier on the BMW. The filter were located at top, and if you had the oil extractor tool, you don't even need to go under the car.
A 36mm socket will remove the oil filter cap, and you replace with a new cartridge. No funnel required to pour the oil, it was a perfect fit for the castrol 1 qt. bottle opening. No chance of that with the Toyota, you need a long enough funnel to even reach the oil filter fill hole.
Not the most convienent if you are trying to top up at the gas station.
But at lease I don't need to jack up the car to change oil.
