I've had an '88 n/a (Mark I)and now have a '91 n/a (Mark II) and can tell you that, if you're looking for a street car, go supercharged or turbo if you can find one. If you're going to go into racing, though, you may want to see what class you'd be in. I'm not real sure, but I think SCCA Autocross has the MK II n/a in one class and the turbo in another; probably the same thing (two different classes) for the MK I as well. I understand that the MK I n/a is very competitive in whatever class it runs. I seem to see a lot of photos of MK I n/a's in road rallies as well, and they seem to do well. The new MR2 Spyders are doing very, very well in B Stock Solo II from what I understand -Grassroots Motorsports can provide more details. Good luck in whatever you can find.
