What Octane Rating Gas Do You Guys Use?

What gasoline are you guys using? 87, 89 or 91?

Do you actually notice the difference between them?

I only use 87 since it's the cheapest. But willing to change if it really helps the engine run better and help in its maintenance or whatever.

Cheapest 87 octane I can find for 267k miles in my '93 Camry. No fuel system problems.

Will do the same with my new '09 Corolla.

Unless you are experiencing engine knock or ping on 87 octane, it's a waste of money to up the octane. Lower octane is actually higher energy content. Don't pay more for less unless your engine requires it.

it's really your own choice, most motors don't require premium unless they're a performance or a high compression motor, the smallport 4AGE and the 2ZZGE as an example, require premium gas due to their high compression.

If your motor doesn't require it, then don't buy the premium gas, even mid-grade will make a difference if your motor requires it.
