Manual Tranny RPMs at Highway Speeds

Hi all,
Would any of you kind folks with a manual transmission post your RPMs at 70 mph? Some fella posted in the automatics thread but no takers on the manual yet. Thanks in advance.

I can't tell you exactly at this point as I've yet to take delivery on one yet, but I test drove a stick and noted that the RPMs are closer to 3k than what I expected at 60+ MPH. Won't surprise me if 70 MPH comes in somewhere between 2800 and 3000.

Looking for XRS or non-XRS?

Non XRS, the 1.8 engine. Sorry I didn't note that. We don't have any manual transmissions to test drive at my dealership. I saw 2 all of last year in the 9th gen.

From my calculations, you should be at 2957rpm at 70MPH in a 5-speed 2009 Corolla with the 16-inch wheels.

EDIT: For the XRS, it's pretty close. 2959rpm at 70MPH, lol.

This morning mine was 2600 RPM at 60 MPH om a fairly level road with cruise control operating (1.8 engine and manual transmission).
