Major problems already?????

When I first had the car, there was rattling at the rear but now seems to disappear. Other situation, Got my Corolla for 1 day and drove for 30km there was a huge shake when braking, took it to the dealer and the transmission was busted. I'm lilke what the fuck. Probably the Sales person fucked with it before giving it to me. But contact the general manager and had a new car instead of replace.

Are the Corollas that are having problems the 1.8s or 2.4s????? seems also that all the affected corolla's are outside the US??

There is a rattle from time to time in my car that sounds like it's coming from the back window(not the door window) on the passenger side.
I've taken it to the dealer a couple of times and they were unable to hear the rattle/noise.
I also noticed that the lower part of the back window on the passenger side stayed fogged up while the rest of the window was clear on a recent 2 hour trip.
It cleared up when I put the defrost on but, fogged up again when the defrost turned off.
Makes me think that that part of the window doesn't have a tight seal.

What the dealership told me was that there was metal on metal which was causing all of the noise from back there. The rear shelf, headliner and trunk liner were all removed when I saw my car in the service bay.

So far so good with the fix. They told that if the issue pops up again they would deal with it. They take very good care of me. If I am hearing a rattle or something I always take one of the Techs out on a ride with me so they can hear the sound..once they hear it, we ride back to the dealership and I get my loaner and drive off.

Did they tell you what section out of the three you saw removed had the metal on metal problem and what they did to fix it?

On my car, that noise was a bad assembly in the truck, so they fix it, but I still have some rattles on the dash board, and now I hear a new metal to metal noise every time I pass a bumper, so the car is in the dealership for the 6th time
But if I look the bright side the rattles on the door panels are fix after 5 visits the dealer.
I wonder what will happen when I reach 1000Km??

BTW Toyota Mexico have the worst customer service, I have send 10 emails to the customer service manager and to the regional service manager, I just don't remember how many times I have leave them voice mails, the incredible part is that I don't get and answer

I wouldn't hold your breath to long on them coming through and giving you anything. I bought my 2009 Corolla S in August 2008. It left me on the side of the road on September. The dealership had it for about 2 weeks. Then a week later the oil was leaking. They pinched a gasket while working on it the first time. Then first week in November it left me on the side of the road again. They had it for a little over a month and had to replace the motor. Then they just wanted me to be on my merry way and not complain that I didn't sign up for a new car with a new motor. They wouldn't do shit for me. Now I am taking them to court. I want them to take there car back. I don't want anything to do with it. The dealership and Toyota Canada didn't stand behind there products as far as I am concerned. This was my first brand new car and my first/last Toyota.
