Uh....?

So I was researching and I see that 2010 Corolla's have 13.2 gal tank and is 26mpg city including that it's 132hp. Civic's have 13.2 gal tank and is 25mpg city including 140hp. And when I drive my sister's civic I consume less gas then my corolla..

Edit:Oh wow. My phone replaced my question with "..." anyways. Yeah my question was if the size of the gas tank had to do with anything but you guys answered it. My bad for not being clear.

I am really unsure what response you are looking for. Please post with a more descriptive title?

There used to be a great article around about posting on the internet too, but I can't seem to find it.

The size of the gas tank has nothing to do with MPG.

There are lots of things that can affect your gas mileage

Examples like the followings: type of road, type of gas, elevation, temperature, driving styles, driving habits, type of transmission, modification, type of engine oil, stop and go traffic or highway driving.

And gas tank size has nothing to do with gas mileage.

Lets put it in more fun terms:

You and your buddy both bring a case of beer to the party

After 2 hours (miles) you both have drank 6 beers (gallons of gas.) You are both drinking at a rate of 3BPH. The fact that you both have 18 beers left doesn't change your BPH, nor would it change your MPG (which at 3 gallons a mile I'd seek a new car.)

It does mean the party can last quite a bit longer though, kind-of like how they say "this car can go 600 miles on a single tank of gas" and act like that's a great thing. Then you realize it has a 50 gallon tank and you're getting 12MPG and 600 miles later will pay $185 to fill up.

Wooow, I was looking at old threads to search for something and I saw this.. I never started this so I checked it.. This was a long time and my friend wrote this.. I understand why he was laughing at me. So basically, I was trying to do the footwell light DIY (which I failed miserably) and I told him to go look it up on this forum with my laptop and I forgot that I was still logged in. Afterwards he was laughing when he was telling me what to do. I thought he "hacked" my facebook but I checked it and it was fine and I was just guessing that he read something funny on the forum or something. He owns a civic. So my "sister" is basically him. We always argue that my car is better and etc etc.. I guess this was his way of trying to win?...well this is ridiculous, and I apologize. I love my corolla s. I like it better than the civic and I drove the civic many times. I apologize for this unnecessary thread..
