I do a fair amount of hwy driving as I live east of town about 10 miles but I just don't waste gas when I don't have too. I drive & have fun plenty of times too but when I'm in traffic I just drive easy & save gas. I've never had a tank below 30 mpg. In fact one of my worst tanks was all hwy doing 75 mph into a headwind & I only got around 31 mpg.
+1 When I had my S, I never had a tank below 30 as well.
BTW, this is a 2009 we are talking about. My ratings were 28 city and 32 highway.
A 2009 was rated for 27/35 for Auto and 26/35 Manual. And when it came out it had best in segment real world fuel economy beating out every other car easily.

+1 - Any more news on the kit, I know some guys said that it should be ready by the end of the year.
Did they release any dyno charts? videos or pics of the install?
I am so anxiously awaiting this
I'll send an email to them next week as they are now closed for the day.

I got an email from TK.com and they said the kit is almost ready! They need to see a Corolla to write up the installation manual for the Corolla & make sure that any details that are different between the Corolla & Matrix.
Anyone live close by that can go by & let them see your Corolla? If so contact TK.com & make an appointment so they can get this manual written. I told them that I would se if anyone was close to be able to help out.
Here is the email I got from them......
We are only a few weeks away from having the parts in stock.
One thing that is holding us up, is having a car to build the instructions from.

Congrats on getting the kit, uh..one step closer to being almost ready to buy. This has indeed been quite a while coming, almost a year and half now.
Perhaps I am confused, but when they were fabbing up the kit, fitting it, testing it, tuning it, wasn't it already on the car? Wouldn't it have been easier to write down the steps at that time...instead of having to work out the entire process all over again with yet another car?

Was wondering the same too.
