On my 03 camry LE 4 cyl., I've got a check engine light going on and off every month or so since March. Same code every time P0240. I got my inspection done in March, fortunately the check engine light was off and came back on on the drive home (whew). Looking under my car, there's also some clear plastic hanging off of the catcon, looks like to be a plastic bag I ran over, but it's like melted on to the catcon... probably irrelevant but just an FYI...
it goes off and I keep hoping it'll stay off... Any ideas on what is causing it to go on/off? Catalytic converters are so expensive...
::edit:: code is P0420, not 240.
