Best size tire for performance on 16x7 rims?

I have been researching the best all season tires (i know, all seasons are never going to be a super great performer) and it seems to be the consensus that the BFGoodrich Comp 2 A/S is one of the best, and i like the look too? Now i just need to know what size performs the best on a 16x7 rim. I would like to stay at 55 on the height because my car is stock otherwise. Thanks for the help!

The BFG g-Force Comp 2 A/S tire has a ton of grip. We had the opportunity to drive them hard on a test track with great results.

Depending on what year and model your car is a 225/55R-16 may be a good size for a 16x7 wheel.

We happen to have them on sale today through 2-20-17 on our Presidents Day Sale.

Does anybody have a stock ride height corolla with 205/50/16s that I could see a picture of? Im trying to see what the gap would look like between the top of the wheel and the fender.

Well ive done some more research and now im wondering, most people seem to either be running 205/55/16s or 215/50/16. Which would give me a more squared sidewall on the 16x7 rim? I like the sidewall height on the 215 better but will go with either if it gives me a squared look. If anyone has pictures it would be greatly appreciated.
