Talking 1995 Toyota Tacom 4X4 steering issue

Hello all:

I am having issues with my 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 in regards to steering. I took it to my local alignment shop in town here and they advised that something was loose or broken or possible a bolt was broken. The said that they were not able to do an alignment on the truck because the wheels even though the steering wheel is locked there is too much play in it. I have checked underneath the truck for any loose bolts or anything cracked and have not found anything, EXCEPT that the steering gear assembly is moving when the wheels are locked. The movement is noticeable more on the passenger side by the grommet. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again for any help.
