So I finally got this borla muffler installed on my corolla just this Tuesday it has not even been on my car for three days and it is already showing rust. I can't figure out how to show pics so if someone can tell me that would be great. I bought some mothers mag and aluminum to get rid of some of it but its not 100%. Is this normal? It's the day before 4th of July the shop that installed it is closed and borla customer service won't pick up the phone.
Ok so I worked it out this is what we have a brand new Borla muffler that has been on my car two days and saw a light day of rain wednesday. I'm not sure what to think about this I have more pics if necessary.
I'm thinking of calling a paint shop first thing Monday to get it taken care of. I know it's not supposed to be perfect but it bugs the hell out of me knowing that stuff is on it. I know you're not the person to ask but how much do you think something like that would cost to be painted on.
Painting it? Don't worry about it. Many parts will get minor surface rust will form on many parts under the car and it's very normal. Just relax and enjoy your car. If the rusted joints are a problem 10 years from now then have them fixed with new pipe at that time, no big deal.
Sounds great guys thanks for the helpful info I took it to the shop this morning and they looked at it for me and explained that everything is normal. Now for my next mod!
