HID 6000k 55w kit (H11) for 2010 Corolla S foglights

Do you think there would be any issues with melting foglight housings with the 55w kit?

Factory fog lights are 55watts so no they won't melt the housing but that will produce a lot of glare to on coming drivers.

I agree, I have yet to see a good beam pattern out of the 10th gen Corolla foglight housing, even with the the proper halogen bulbs. Plus its too in high color temperature, 4500K or less would be better for fogs.

Well... obviously this is just for show, so instead of wasting money on HID's and blinding everyone on the road, just get some 3000k nokya bulbs or some other halogen bulbs. Halogen housings and hid kits are like lesbians trying to have sex...it looks good, but it just doesn't work. lol

If you want the white look you could also consider the LED bulb replacements:

hid in fogs = nono. my nokyas in my fogs are brighter than my hids at night. my friends tell me they feel more glare from the fogs than the hid lows. i suggest you just get white bulbs or white leds.

Nokyas are wicked Halogens for FOGs...

I'm getting some 2500K Fogs from Nokya. They should be a little easier on the eyes since the yellow wave length doesn't hurt as much as the Intense White / Blue or (5000K and up)

Don't know what part of Toronto you're in but tires23 in Mississauga carries them.
