I can probably talk my buddy into installing them or at least helping me.
corolla chris,

if he recommends 8000K than he is more for looks than really any kind of functional. for a nice look and functional i would recommmend nothing over 6000K MAX.
if you are wanting to pay 300 dollars for an HID kit just for a brand name McColloch then in my opinion you are just wasting your money.

There are plenty of really good quality HID kits out there and you just have to take a little bit of time to research it.

if you like i can source you an HID kit for under 200 bucks shipping included with the same warranty as McColloch and that is a nice quality kit and which bulbs and ballast are waterproof.

What I have also tried in the past were:
-ProLumen (made in Taiwan)
-Xelux (made in Taiwan) and I only paid $58USD for a sampling kit

Right now I'm using the two kits I ordered from Xenon Depot. Don't know where the ballasts are made from...Most likely China as well...

Here are some photos after installing my HID kits...

For the driver side, my friend mounted the ballast and the igniter on the battery plastic.

As for the passenger side, the ballast and igniter are placed near the ABS device...

Looks great Eric! Thanks for the install pics as that gives me ideas on difficulty of mounting and placement with this gen Rolla.

Very nice... very nice indeed. I'm just waiting for my kit to come in. Wish I had fog lights though... Oh well.

My HID kit didn't come with any bracket and luckily my friend had one in his garage. There are some pre-drilled holes in the engine compartment...so try to mount stuff there instead of drilling your own holes ;p

Anyway, I was a little worried of sticking electrical stuff to the battery plastic...but my friend is a mechanic for years, so I trust him!

Chris, hope your kit comes in soon. You can always buy aftermarket fog lights for your ride but I guess none is available @ the moment.

I will take some photos of the cut-off later on this week Since it's HID in a halogen housing, I'd expect to have some glare.
