Gas Door Fix

Anyone have a secret tip on how to fix the gas door? My issue is... it never pops it open all the way, it only opens like 0.5cm -> 1cm MAX... and sometimes it will open 0.5cm and then close itself again. I thought i saw another post about the gas doors but i couldn't find it. Anyways, Can i fix this myself or do i need to bring it to the dealer?

Look inside the little door for a metal spring (it's just a bent metal tab). Just open that up so it's about 1/2" open or whatever your preference.
