Canada Transparent Hood

i was parking my car at a mall earlier and the car on the right of the slot i got was a toyota celica. got out of the car and noticed that the hood of the celica is see-thru. oh man it really looks so good. one of a kind. that is one way on how you make a car different from the rest. before i forget even the celica's gasoline door is transparent. then the gas cap is chrome plated with the trd logo.

^ I thought carbon fiber was solid colored.

I've seen the transparent fuel door for the Celica. I know some company made it and its a dark tinted color. I didn't know they had it for the hood too, might have been custom.

My question is, does it Meet/Pass the safety standards?

I doubt it would, but it would be nice to know.

it is not carbon fiber. it is see-thru and its not smoked or dark colored plastic. that hood really showcases the engine bay with all the chrome and multi-colored items.

made a google on transparent hoods and JCWhitney came up first. they even custom build hoods for your specific car.

transparent hoods are for shows i think...it looks ugly if you just put it on a stock car...who wants to see my tiny stock dirty engine?

Probably doesn't pass regulations, but who would really care in Vancouver. They'd pull you over for the exhaust or being too low, probably not because of your hood is transparent though.

Though I'd think if they did it right, and a right amount of tint on the hood, it'll look quite nice.
