Altis Grille Installed

Hey Guys. I did my first real mod today by installing the Altis grille.

Pretty simple to do.

Tools : Flathead screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, 10mm ratchet

Basically you pop 10 plastic pegs off, unscrew 2 10mm bolts, and unscrew 2 screws, pop out and pull up on the old grille, then slide the new one back in!

Total time: 35 minutes

Let me know what you think! Next up: wheels and springs.

It could be done without it, it just made it easier to slide under and pop the bottom clips out. The main purpose was to complete an oil change also.

The first time i took mine off i put it on ramps, the second time i just skipped the ramps...

My opinion the honeycomb grille looks better than the Altis....

Looks pretty nice, though i think I'll stick with the one I already have. I'll bet someone overseas with an Altis would love to have your grill.

I would have stayed with the stock honeycomb grille

I can't really say I agree with it looking "more Yaris" as its the Yaris/Corolla/Camry all share the same basic design language.

I like it, but not as much as I thought I would. I am going to keep it on because it is "different", but if they bring it over for a model refresh in 2012, I will probably go back to honeycomb. I am still thinking of a way to mod the stock grille.

I also think it will look better with fogs, wheels, and new springs.

The Altis grill makes the car more mature, whereas the honeycomb makes it a bit more sporty
