When are we gonna see floor mat recall?

on toyota's recall website :

Corolla, Matrix, and Venza owner letters will be sent starting in early May 2010
All owners will receive their recall notices by June 2010.

The reason why I'm asking is because I am moving to Canada, and I need to import my car... but I can't do that without having the recall done.

Anyone has got the recall letter yet?

If Toyota did send it out in early May, we should've got it already... but I don't know anyone who's got it...

I have not gotten mine, but my car was made over seas, so it has only gotten one recall and was not for accelerator. Forget what it was, but was done before I bought her 2 months ago. I doubt I will be getting one as I heard the ones made over seas do not have the recall the NA Rolla's do. Again, this is only what I have heard, so do not quote me on this

Just go into the dealership and have it done. Explain your circumstances and they should have no issues with doing it while you wait.

I received my letter for my 2009 CorollaLE. They said they haven't figured out what to do yet, but they'll let me know when they do. My car's has a Japanese-built VIN.

It's actually quite simple so I'm not sure if they "haven't figured out what to do".

1) ensure there's only one floormat and that it's clipped into the the 2 clips.
2) trim the accelerator pedal

Do we have to get this recall done? If we already have the Toyota all weather mats with the clips. I just don't like the idea of the pedal taken out again and made smaller. And then there's the floors, they're supposed to modify them, whatever that means. How many times is the pedal supposed to be removed from the car? This is getting ridiculous.

I really don't want this recall done. I too have the all weather mats with the clips. I feel very uncomfortable having them trim the accelerator pedal, or doing anything with the floor.

i was told that if you really didnt like the pedal after they trimmed it, then if you go back to the dealer and say you dont like it and they HAVE to give you a replacement pedal.....I think thats what they did with the camry's
