Satellite on 2013 Corolla S?
I know there are many old threads on similar topics but I'm hoping to get a current answer to my specific question...
I bought a 2013 Corolla S last year. It has the touch screen factory stereo with CD, no Sirius/XM. But it appears to have a satellite antenna on the roof.
I asked Toyota if the car might have come equipped with Sirius/XM and they said it was not satellite-ready from the factory but the previous (one) owner "may have installed the needed parts." They told me I ought to speak to my dealer about this.
I asked the dealer and they said the car was not, and is not, satellite-ready. I asked how much it would cost to install it and they said there are no parts available to make my car Sirius/XM capable.
Is this possible? I think it's silly that Toyota decided to offer satellite radio on so few cars (compared to other auto makers) but it's not even an option to pay for it to be installed?
