Not at all, nor was it suggested to run it until poppage

Just clearing the air regarding valve destruction.

BTW, the '97 service intervals are "severe" service and the '98 intervals are "regular" use. I chose to replace my Timing belt at 150,000 km as per the '98 service schedule since it's the same engine and timming belt.

The belt was in fine shape when I changed it, but no need to go anyfurther..
