Great pics! I see they have the notches for the retractable cargo cover, but nowhere for it to clip to the back of the captains chairs? Unless it clips to the headrest posts like in the late 90s RAV4? Also, loose stuff is going to go flying forward between the 2nd row seats during emergency/hard braking. Plus things in the back will be visible through there when parked (when one has the cargo cover to help hide things from view). It should have some sort of cover that could slide shut across there...maybe built into one of the seat backs. Too bad automakers don't talk to their customers about stuff like that when designing vehicles. Imagine the improvements we would give them!

Is the air filter now easily accessible without ripping the wiring when removing the air cleaner lid? Looks like maybe they moved it closer to the intake at the grill?

Its still back in that corner, but clips together instead of bolts (one of my biggest complaints). That front box near the intake is a vacuum surge tank.

Hi all,

we just go the XLE on Friday- Blizzard Pearl and Ash colors, and captain chairs. My wife will drive this HL. The secondrow captain chairs already filled up with 2 Car Seats for our kids (5 and 7).

Below are some pics i took this morning.
Beautiful car, I am also in the bay area shopping for the same car but with the black interior. Do you mind sharing how much you paid otd? You can PM me if you want to keep it private. Thanks

We live in the beautiful city in Northern CA called Sunnyvale with the wonderful weather almost all year long, so I thought of buying the fwd only, but later decided to go with the awd version.

We drive locally averaging of 5k/year (2 miles to work, 2 miles to kids' school), and don't do much road-trip.
I told my wife I'd do a road trip along the CA Highway 1 this spring :)

Looks sharp, that's for sure being a Blizzard Pearl 2nd Gen owner myself, but for those considering buying you should beware that because it's a special blend it's very expensive to paint a Highlander if you have any damage to repair so be aware of higher costs. Just throwing that out to future buyers.

there is an additional $350 for that color. We have an MDX Black, which is hard to keep clean. Initially, we looked at the red and blue (similar to black, hard to keep clean) predawn gray (too gray for her), silver sky (I don't like it), we don't care much for the jade.
So we ended up paying $350 more for that exterior color. i heard Blizzard Pearl needs additional coating - so the pricier.

Found dealer that has 2014 XLE in blizzard pearl with black interior on order. Only options are color and floor and cargo mats. MSRP is $ 38,980 and cost of $ 36,265.24. We paid $ 36,265.24 and refused to pay DOC fee. Car will be in at end of month. We have purchased from this dealer before so we know it is a legit deal.

In our area (Missouri) we can purchase Highlander through Costco for $ 200 over cost through their approved dealers. We sold our trade to Carmax for $1300.00 over what dealer offered us. He was the one to suggest Carmax.

He still made money from holdback of 758.00 and reserve of 379.00 so we don't feel sorry for him.

It was really hard to find an awd limited in blizzard/black combo in the bay area. Was finally able to track one down in the bay area. Got it for 44500 OTD. We might have gotten a better deal if we waited but we're pretty happy with what we paid.

Kevin, mine comes with ash leather (all XLE and limited).
We love the ash color for this Hl, and waited a long time for it. My wife has very sensitive eyes so Black is little dark inside, but almond is little bright for her. Ash is neutral and very pleasant color to our eyes. We love it.

Thanks, hskb. I did order one XLE with blizzard pearl/ash leather as ext/int color but later the dealer changed "ash leather" description to "dark gray/softex". I went on Toyota website and built one myself to see if I could pick the ash leather but the choices are only almond leather, black leather, or dark gray softex. The description "dark gray" makes me think it might be darker than the ash color as shown in your pictures. Since you were able to get the ash leather for the XLE model, I think Toyota might have changed it. The vehicle I ordered comes in in 2 weeks; the dealer does not know how "dark gray softex" looks like and I have to live in confusion for now

Ok, I checked again, this time with the spec of my HL from the dealer : Interior = Ash Leather.
And curiously, i went to toyota website to check, and confirm that Ash Leather Interior is available for my 94085 area.
I am happy now :)

Can you show your most current pic with car seats installed? I will be installing two car seats as well. Are you able to access the 3rd row seating by sliding the back seats forward or passing thru the captain seats? Thanks

Below are some pictures of of the captain chair with Britax Boulevard Convertible Carseats. I sure can access the third row through the carseats, but i can't say for really big person though.
