My new Head Unit

I replaced the crappy head unit in my 2016 LE with a Dasaita Android unit. I am pretty impressed so far. The steering wheel controls work. It has two extra USB ports and built-in GPS. It has i-Go navigation installed. I use my phone as a hotspot and use google maps. It has Bluetooth so you can connect to the Bluetooth OBD2 readers. It, of course, reads your texts and hands-free phone. The best part is that it is fitted for our dash so it doesn't look like an aftermarket system. It's a 10.2" display and has an 8 core processor.

Here is the link to the eBay store where I got the head unit. Its all plug and play. No wires had to be cut and everything that worked before still works.

Cool! How was the install? Pretty straight forward, or did you need extra connectors, etc? I'm assuming backup cam still works?

Dash disassembly was super easy. It came with a wiring harness. It was plug and play. No cutting wires. The backup cam works the same other than the picture is 6 inches bigger!

No, it goes back in the same way the OEM did. The screen is tilted toward the driver slightly. I have some USB buttons coming in on Friday and will have to take apart the dash again so I will take some pics of that.

This is where I got it from. It boots up in about 3 seconds. It performs like an 8 core android tablet, which is to say great.

Wow according to the link it was only $448! The rep at the dealer told me it was $4000 to replace so I bought the extended warranty.

Nice!
Do you know how many volts output the audio is?
Can it do Android and or Carplay?
Can you connect it via USB and use the screen to interface to the phone particularly for Google Maps?

As far as it looking like it sits forward..The HL dash is not flat at in that area of the dash. the top lip comes out and then sets back in, so if the unit is going to be flush at any point, it will look like its a bit out on the right compared to the left of it. Your eye either needs to adjust to it, or you will just think its not like original and worry about it :-)
