its not hard at all to wire fog lights in a car, no worry about extra power draw as long as it is done right...i have mine wired to ACC. with no switch/button in my '11 LE so theyre on all the time.... 12 ga. wire should b more than enough, 16-14 will do too. u will need a relay of course, it will b triggered by 12 acc. from ur steering column, and power will come from either ur battery or 12v off ur steering column (steering column is easiest being that its right there with ur acc. wire) and just run the 12v output from ur relay to ur fogs and just ground the negative wire on the fogs. now if u want to use a switch, break the wire comin from the acc wire into the relay ONLY, that way u wont burn up the switch....
or u can trigger the relay from ur parking lights, but it HAS to b directly off the wire goin to the parking lights under the hood, the one on the stalk doesnt work being that the ecm times out and cuts them off,
the only problem with they way i have mine wired from the acc is when u start the car it kills power to acc. temporarily, so if u have HID's (like i do but i just dnt care) it will shorten the life of them by turning on and off twice as much.
