You are right - it isn't too hard. Mostly time consuming. It would be cool, as long as you understood you won't actually make any money off of it!
I was actually at my buddies shop yesterday pulling carbon fiber WRX door cards (interior panels) out of the molds... I'm planning on grafting vents into the hood somehow, though I haven't figured out the exact plan yet.
