I'm at 38K with the cheap stock tires and I'm expecting 45-50 before retiring them, I see no center wear that most that have never tried it warn about.

If you use a tread depth gauge, you will find the center of the tire much more worn than the edges. Also, using inflation pressures that high will cause the tire to be very, very hard and not able to absorb/flex when it hits potholes etc., which can cause the tire to fail. A
maximum inflation pressure of 44 psi cold is meant for high speed use to increase load carrying capacity, but it isn't the
recommended air pressure.
