I have a 2015 Corolla LE Eco and I'm unable to find a comfortable position to rest my right elbow while driving. The center armrest isn't far forward enough to put my elbow on while I'm holding the steering wheel, no matter what position I have the steering wheel or the seat in. Does anyone have any recommendations for a product that would extend the length of the armrest or some type of cushion? Thanks!
Same problem here. I am tall. I have learned to find a comfortable position. The armrest needs to be higher and more forward. Agreed. Put the seat back, pump it all the way down, and wheel all the way out. That's about all one can do. I have made it work. Maybe it won't work for you. It took me 3000-4000 miles to find the position I liked.
Is there a movable armrest available for the 11th gen? On the 10th gen the XLE model had a movable armrest that would slide forward and had an extra compartment in it. I bought one from the dealer and swapped it out in a few minutes. It's also padded compared to my OEM one that was just hard plastic and it's a little taller. I love it!
I wasn't able to find a replacement sliding armrest for the 11th gen so I just ordered a foam cushion from Amazon to see if that helps. I'll report back when I get it!
For my left arm, I'm thinking of just getting some kind of small pillow to stuff next to the armrest.
Why can't Toyota just design their cars more comfortably, who needs to go through all this!
I'm 5'8 and am perfectly comfortable in my S+ model however I do think car manufacturers should build more adjustability into their cars, not everyone is the same size
I wish I knew where to get one of these. I have looked all over. I will continue to look. Thanks for letting us know they exist. I hope I find one. The one in the pics. It might work for me. I am 6'2" and not quite fitting with the armrest. Everything else is fine seat is very comfortable. I wish the steering wheel extended farther out.
I'm 6'2" also. Does your armrest attach the same way as mine? If so you could find a 10th gen and see if the size is the same or measure yours & I could do the same. Never know if it might fit too!
Wonder why Toyota stopped making those sliding arm rests for the new Corollas? Now that I've seen those pics, it makes me want to get one. Just wondering if it will fit. I'm 5'8" and fit comfortably, but it'd be nice to have that option.
Aftermarket sliding armrests are on ebay for the Forte and Elantra and other cars but I can't find one for the 2015 Corolla. Guess I'll wait. Like Supercharched MR2 says, maybe the 10th gen fits. I'm not to handy, so I'll have to find out how the armrest fits on. I hope the cupholders and other stuff isn't connected. I haven't looked yet, i imagine it's not too hard to swap one out if it fits. I would LOVE to have a sliding armrest. The Civic I test drove had one as I recall. It's one of the things I liked about the Civic.
Thanks to SuperchargedMR2 for all the pics. Maybe the 10th gen will fit. If anyone knows let me know. thanks
Found one on ebay for Corolla and Camry that might work, looks a little flimsy, If anybody has one let us know.
We have a 2011 and 2015 Corolla, both the armrest is different in shape and size. If they are the same then I would buy the sliding armrest that I have on the 2011.
It allows my elbow to rest higher and more forward by just the right amount. Still looking for something for my left arm. I bought a decorative pillow from Walmart that I shoved down between the door and my thigh, and while it's ok for raising my arm, I don't like how it pushes my leg to the right, and I was constantly adjusting the pillow placement. Still looking for a solution there.
