Hehe. It is actually becomming standard here in Europe, although the Yaris is the first to come with the knee airbag in that class. The active safety is pretty good as well with ABS, electronic brake distribution, brake assist and in some countries traction control will even be standard as well! The Yaris received the exact same rating as the Prius

Euroncap uses a 64km/h offset for the frontal test with a barrier only covering 40% of the car's front. The side impact test is at 50km/h.
When Euroncap started for some years ago it was the hardest crash test around, but I think the IIHS in USA uses the same standard now. If I remember correctly, the US also has the NHTSA which uses lower speeds, but also tests for rear impact and the infamous test where the vehicles are thrown sideways against a pole.
The was a story in the news some time ago where Toyota announced it had found a way to make iron stronger and the Yaris would be the first car to use the technology. This might be one of the reasons why the new Yaris does so well. I can't seem to find an article about it though and I haven't heard any follow ups on that story.
