The current USDM LS is the Celsior in Japan.

Believe it or not, the Crown is actually positioned slightly higher than the Celsior in Japan, so the Crown has a few things the LS/Celsior doesn't.

The only Toyota model in Japan above the Crown is the super-exclusive Toyota Century.

The current Crown in Japan has an available semi-active suspension system, which is a step above the current LS air suspension. The Crown also features VDIM, which the current LS/Celsior doesn't have.

Check out the interior ... it's a pretty damn amazing interior too ... I personally think it's better than the current LS interior.

That Nav/Centre console is just incredible. The Crown also has I believe an available night vision system.

I can't read Japanese ... but hopefully someone who can could maybe elaborate on the Crown's features and options.

That is a very nice interior indeed. It's a very nice car but we probably won't get it cuz it'll conflict with the Lexus brand. But speaking of that, what will happen to the Crown in Japan now that Lexus has been introduced in that market?

Assuming we're talking about the Royal Crown and Crown Majesta. The other Crowns such as the Crown, Crown Athlete, Crown Comfort and Crown Estate are slightly different. I think the Crown seems to be the taxi model? the Crown Athlete the sporty "Touring" model with grippy cloth seats and cool blue wood trim.

You guys are acting like this car was out just now. It's been out for four years already and yes, it's a bit higher in class than the celsior. Think of it as a Celsior Sport. Other than that, you can't have one come to the the US.

1.) Too damn expensive to buy one
2.) Too damn expensive to ship here
3.) US Customs will be over it like a dog over a your leg.

Me, I prefer the Athlete over the Royal.

The LS comes with most of those things, minus the air purifier, IPA (which only the Crown and Prius have anyway), footrest and push button. You know the new LS will have the push button start and Smart Access system anyway.

I know, but I'm saying that Japan already had it for four years now. You're probably referring to us that it's new in China.
