2007 Sienna Features

Is there any way to find out the new features that will be available for the 2007 Sienna? I don't "need" a van now but would like one but if there are major changes for the 2007 Sienna, I can wait. Specifically, if the 2007 Sienna will have keyless entry and ignition, similiar to the Prius. You don't have to bring out your keys, they can be in your pocket.

With the 2007 Camry out already, when is the earliest we will hear about the feature in the 2007 Sienna?

Thanks for any input, I am really struggling here.

No changes Mr. Wilson. Sienna was redesigned in 04. The 07 will be the same vehicle as the 06. I don't see it getting the "smart key system" like prius.

You never know, they retrofitted the LS with keyless ignition 2 years before its replacment. I know the LS is an up scale lux car, but the Sienna can be had close to $40K

The Sienna was refreshed for 06 so I expect the 07 to be a carryover model in terms of design. As for features, I'm not sure. Maybe the XLE Limited AWD. I mean the Camry XLE V6 and Avalon Limited have the Smart Key System (SKS).

Also note even the Corolla Verso in Europe has a push button start.

When do you think they will redesign the Sienna? I would think it would be 2008 or 2009...

It was released in 04, going by the 7 year life cycle that Toyota follows, looks like 2011. Seems so far away doesn't?

7 year? you mean 5?

The old Sienna had an extended 6 year lifespan. I think the old Previa also had 6? Seeing how competitive it is this time around, I'd say 09MY for the new release or one of those 2009 Sienna in January 08.....

I am really struggling here if you think they will have the smart key for the 2007 Sienna. I have a XLE Limited ordered and will deliver in mid March, $41k out the door. If that is not luxury cost, I don't know what is. It should be retrofitted with the smart key but how do you confirm. Why do they have the 2007 Camry and 2007 Sequoia out already and not the Sienna.

Does anyone have the inside scoop ...help!!!

Actually Toyota has a 5 year design cycle normally. The current model was released in March of '03 as an '04 model. The '08 model should be the last year. If they advance it like before we might see the new '09 model in spring of '08.

I'd be shocked if there wasnt a hybrid Sienna in the mix with all the 'hybrid toys' like the Prius and Camry.
SKS, BT, NAVI, VSC/Trac, plus some new things we don't know about yet.

Next year will be the 'Year of the Tundra' and everything will focus on that.

Thanks for the update on the hybrid Sienna. Will Toyota have both regular and hybrid Sienna's in 2007? Will the 2007 have the smart keys? Still debating on whether to purchase a 2006 or not .

Any thoughts from anyone?
