Toyota Australia today released its new large car model at the Melbourne Motor Show.
its called the Aurion, no real details about the specs yet, it will be released for sale here, at the end of the year.
we know the normal models will run the 2GR-FE 3.5L V6 engine, there will also be a Sportivo model, and also a performance model with a 3.5L V6 Supercharged engine
thats sweet looking... too bad the design didn't made it to north america... they should've use that design on the camry... time for a conversion from camry to aurion...

Couldn't work though. The Aurion is the Australian version of the new Avalon...

both the new Camry and Aurion will be built in the same factory in Melbourne, so i assume it will be using the same platform.
the older Avalon and Camrys were on the same platforms in Australia before aswell
there isnt alot of info about it yet, the release is pretty far off the sale date.
probably have to wait for later in the year to get more detailed specs and pics though
How nice is that ! Built off a camry platform but the only panels shared with camry are the doors . Cant wait for the supercharged version , 6 speed sequential auto as well.
The aurion will probably be very similiar mechanically to the new lexus es350 (which will not be available in Australia). Lexus australia are moving to rear wheel drive only cars, whereas toyota will have FWD cars.
