i would like to see you say that when you're stuck in los angeles' traffic
To be stuck in traffic would imply no or slow movement. I don't see how that changes anything. It usually takes me an hour and a half or two to get home in traffic when any other time that commute takes 30 minutes. I still like my manual.

I live in a small town. I don't like big towns because of traffic..etc..etc.... but the only thing that gets me through the traffic of Chicago and NewYork (whenever i visit), is shifting my gears........................................... 1-2-neutral-1-2-1-2-neutral-1-2-1-2-neutral-1-2-1-2-1-neutral-1-2-1-2-1-2-3-neutral .....................................
IF i had auto trans....... I would have killed myself in traffic with anger and boredom.... I was never going to see me showing my son and daughter how to drive a stick on a very old car as in his/her times, stick won't exist anymore and he/she will never know what the pleasure of driving meant... It is not all about going point A to B but the processes of going from A to B is what this life is about..

personally, i would get pissed off even more if i drive a stick in traffic conditions because sometimes it could happen that right after you shift to a higher gear the car in front just brakes. then, you would have to brake and shift to a lower gear.. this could happen repeatedly until i would get bored of it
LOL, same here, I'd be bored outta my mind if i didn't have a manual when in traffic on the LIE or anyother hwy in queens. The car makes all sorts of noises cuz I have a straight thru exhaust system, it's fun. 92 5spd V6.
So just asking but is there any manual trannies for the gen 4/4.5 camry's?.. Or any that will bolt up to the beast?.. if not my camry will not be around as long as I had hoped. I'm all for a manual
when i was 18 i was planning on buying a sports car but my budget wasnt that high so i bought the camry knowing it would last me and i could save money. im turning 20 soon and the only thing that made me keep my car was that its a 5 speed.
i love my toyota because its been so good to me and ive pushed my car to 200+ km/h and its never failed me, not even close. sadly though, i want something new and fast. something that i can comfortably fit into considering my height is slightly above average (im 6'2). also i dont get proper back support from these seats.

Although my plan is to buy an 07 Tundra as my next vehicle, it would make that decision harder if Toyota offered a 07 5 speed V6 Camry. I wouldve never bought my car if it didnt come in manual and i LOVE my car.

Hey... just so you know, you are not the ONLY Desi with a V6 5 speed..
I believe Australia is one of the only countries that offers the Gen 5 with a V6 manual. It's still the 1MZ-FE (no VVT-i) and E153 combo that was found on our Gen 4s though.
